Bedford Athletic Club (BAC) was formed in 2006 as a Club-Travel youth soccer program for the town of Bedford, New Hampshire. BAC Travel teams participate in both a Spring and Fall season with the NH Soccer League Program. BAC Travel is a 100% all-volunteer, Bedford-parents run organization operating as a registered 501(c)(3) non-profit program. All proceeds (registration fees, sponsor fees, donations) BAC receives for the travel program are allocated to player insurance, equipment, website, special training for Travel coaches, tournament fees, uniforms, advertising. All of our coaches and board members are volunteers and do not receive salary or fees for their services.
BAC has boys and girls teams participating in age groups from U8 to U15. Coaches receive professional instruction and on-going support from our partners. Players have 2 practices per week in the form of a skills development session and as a team with their coaching staff. Games typically are on the weekends and involve half of the games at 'home' in Bedford and the others playing various NH towns in the NH Soccer League program. Travel teams also participate in tournaments during the seasons and rarely travel farther than neighboring states (Maine, Massachusetts, etc.).
Players have to participate in try-outs for both the Spring and Fall seasons. Not all participants in try-outs make it to a team, but we endeavor to place try-out participants on a team based on skill level. Players who do not make the travel teams are welcome to participate in our recreation soccer program.
